Dave Arnold and Paul Connolly hold certifications on the use of the Hogan Leadership series of psychological surveys employed in the last 20 years by over 50% of Fortune 500 companies. They use three of these instruments to provide insights for an executive to better understand their makeup and their impact on people and organizations. The perspective gained upon completion of the surveys allows the executive to accelerate their development and enhances their ability to meet personal and organizational goals.
These surveys include the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) which surfaces the strengths and competencies of the individual, The Hogan Development Survey (HDS) which pinpoints possible derailers, and the Hogan Motives, Values, and Preferences Inventory (MVPI) which provides the key drivers and values of the executive.
Each of these tests takes only 10 to 15 minutes to complete. They are validated and normed. There are no invasive or intrusive items on the test nor is there any adverse impact.
The self-administered tests are completed online and always with the understanding that the results are confidential to the executive taking the survey. Following their completion, Dave or Paul works with the individual to put together a roadmap of specific activities and behaviors that the executive will monitor to enhance their performance. Coaching sessions with Dave or Paul take place throughout the year. They believe that the assessments are effective in pinpointing areas that account for the executive’s success and those behaviors they may be limiting performance.
In addition to key executives, the tests are very helpful for younger high potentials to better understand their makeup, and early on improve their skills which will enable them to handle broader and more complex assignments.
