John F. Weigold

John Weigold brings over 15 years of executive search experience to Oak Hill Partners. He concentrates on senior executive search assignments in the industrial and technology industry sectors, including functional assignments in the areas of finance, technology, and operations. John specializes in serving the human capital needs of private equity portfolio organizations, for whom he has completed numerous C-level executive management assignments. Some of his past and present clients include America Online, Cooper Industries, Esselte, Gilbert Global Equity Partners, Johns Manville, Merisant, and Whitney & Co.

Prior to joining Oak Hill Partners, John spent ten years working in global executive search firms, including nearly seven years with Heidrick & Struggles. He focused on the private equity, industrial and information technology sectors, including manufacturing, finance, logistics, supply chain, telecommunications, and hardware and software systems. Mr. Weigold has successfully completed searches for Fortune 500, private equity portfolio and early-stage companies placing CEOs, Presidents, COOs, CFOs, CIOs and Vice Presidents in most line and staff functions.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, John spent five years in the executive search industry in general management, legal and technical recruiting. He served five years as an officer in the U.S. Navy on board two destroyers, where he was in charge of weapons systems, electronics, and engineering and navigation systems. He currently holds the rank of Captain in the United States Naval Reserve.

John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He resides in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife and four children and enjoys sailboat racing on Long Island Sound.
